Hi, I’m Meghan; healer + writer based in New York.
Origin
My creative journey began my sophomore year of college. I tried some creative writing courses and I fell in love with the art of words.
Because of these courses and my professor encouraging me, which I am forever grateful for, I began to experiment with creative language and found my passion for poetry.
I soon went from jotting down mini poems in my notebooks during class, to creating my very own blog where I could showcase my words of art. Thus, Blossoming Daily was born.
Why “Blossoming Daily”?
At first, I had no idea what I wanted to name my blog. I knew it had to be original, something catchy, nothing too cliché, and it had to make sense.
At the time, I was struggling with my mental health. I had been, and still am, very open about my anxiety and depression on my blog and social media – giving advice, offering tips & tricks, and just talking about my experiences because I never wanted anyone to feel like they were alone.
I’ve always been very fond of nature. The beauty of a sunrise or sunset, the changing seasons, the magnificent growth of trees, the blossoming of flowers.
So, I took a step back. How could I connect people to nature? How could I open the eyes of those around me that the ebbs and flows of human life coincide with the seasons? How do I make the notion that we are just like a flower, where we grow and grow, then sometimes we get struck by a storm and our roots get ripped from the ground, yet our seeds become scattered and replanted just to begin again? How do I describe that we don’t just blossom once in a lifetime, we are continuously blossoming, never to be who we once were again?
Then it hit me. We are all Blossoming Daily. We are all constantly growing, learning, starting over, recreating ourselves, every single day. Blossoming Daily is the reminder that we all need that we are a constant force, expanding ourselves each and every day of our lives.
Gratitude
I am so humbled by and thankful for every person who has visited my blog, read my work, followed, subscribed, shared, liked, and commented.
To be honest, I never really thought that people would actually read my work and enjoy it. I started this blog for fun, to keep my little hobby at the time all in one place. But now, I am fulfilled by people like you to continue to make great work and pursue my writing career.
I wholeheartedly, thank you.
