The sky is blue, the clouds are scarce
Late this afternoon.
The sun just started setting,
But I can kind of see the moon.
She’s almost full,
A waxing gibbous, floating in the sky.
Sometimes I never realize
That she’s really quite so high.
The weather’s warm,
With a nice cool breeze blowing here and there.
But when it blows, it truly blows,
And things fly everywhere.
There’s leaves, there’s branches, some bottles and bags
Rummaging across the ground.
The wind picks them up and twirls them in the air
Like they’re dancing all around.
Sometimes it can be frightening
When the wind picks up its speed.
The sound and power behind it –
It sounds like it’s be freed.
Imagine this;
As if the wind was almost like a beast,
And it was held and kept away,
And only knew defeat.
It’s been released
From some cold dark cave,
Howling through the sky
And it’s no longer afraid.
While I stare off in the distance
Shadows cast upon the ground,
The trees look like they’re waving
Without making a sound.
The birds and frogs are loud.
They’re chipping in the distance.
Then there comes a heavy gust
And its quiet in an instant.
A sense of peace accompanied by
Nature’s presence all around me.
I know I should never feel alone
Because I’m right where I should be.
Feeling nature brush my cheeks
With gusts that feel like kisses.
It’s hard to ever feel alone
In such a loving universe we live in.
